13 New Bethesda Games Have Been Added

2021 has seen Xbox Game Pass continue to add many new and exciting games to their ever-growing library for subscribers to enjoy. In March, Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Bethesda Games Studios meant that 13 of Bethesda’s most popular titles were being added to the service for Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers to enjoy as part of their monthly fee. Bethesda is undoubtedly one of the most highly regarded game studios of the last 20 years with both fans and critics adoring their immersive and action-packed franchises like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Doom and Dishonoured that have all been added to Xbox Game Pass. The team here at Stormforce would highly recommend trying out some of Bethesda’s most iconic games like the critically beloved and award-winning The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim that is still regarded as one of the best open-world games of all time. Some of our other favourite Bethesda games include: Fall Out 4, Doom Eternal, The Evil Within, and Wolfenstein 2 that are all definitely worth trying out as part of your subscription. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play most of the recently added Bethesda titles anywhere on PC, console or mobile through Xcloud.

Here is a list of every Bethesda game that is available on Xbox Game Pass for PC:

  • Fallout 4
  • Dishonored
  • Prey
  • Doom (1993)
  • Doom 64
  • Doom 2
  • Doom 3
  • The Evil Within
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order
  • Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
  • The Elder Scrolls: 3 Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls: 4 Oblivion
  • The Elder Scrolls: 5 Skyrim (Special Edition)

Usually, a large acquisition on the scale of Bethesda joining the Xbox family would take years for customers to start to see the benefits, but with Xbox Game Pass subscribers can enjoy the benefits of the acquisition pretty much right away. As we look towards the future of Xbox Game Pass for PC this recent acquisition could see Bethesda’s highly anticipated lineup coming to the service in the not too distant future. This could potentially mean that massive AAA games like Starfield, The Elder Scrolls 6, the recently announced Indiana Jones game, and a future Fallout game could all come straight to the service on their day of release at no extra cost to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Over 60 New Games Have Been Added with EA Play

EA Play has been added to Xbox Game Pass for PC that will give subscribers access to over 60 of Electronic Arts (EA) most popular games, a 10% discount on all EA digital purchases, and you will have access to exclusive in-game challenges and rewards. The addition of EA Play will bring games from some of EA’s most iconic franchises like Star Wars, Mass Effect, Dead Spec, and their vast library of sports titles. Some of our favorites from the 60 games that have been added to Xbox Game Pass through EA Play are The Sims 4, Titanfall 2, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Need For Speed, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that are all now available as part of your monthly subscription. Xbox Game Pass for PC members will also be able to access game trials for certain brand new EA titles like FIFA 21 that can last up to 10 hours per game.

Xbox First-Party Games

This year has seen Xbox make significant moves to help build out their first-party lineup with the acquisition of Bethesda, but don’t forget about some of the other exciting first-party games that are already available or coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. In our opinion, every platform gamer should try out the stunning 2D world of Moon Studios, Ori, and The Will of The Wisps that combines intense platforming and challenging puzzles to help create one of the most visually striking games of the last decade. Another must-play first-party title on Xbox Game Pass is Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that places you in the shattered mind of a Celtic warrior who embarks on a psychological journey of fear, loss, and strength that is unlike any other gaming experience. Plus, with the sequel to Senua’s emotional story coming soon to Xbox Game Pass, now is the perfect time to try out this critically beloved title.

We are not even halfway through the year and we have seen many new additions to Xbox Game Pass like The Medium and many others, but undoubtedly the one game that we are most excited for here at Stormforce is Halo: Infinite. Promising to start a new chapter in Xbox’s beloved and iconic space shooter franchise, this will be one of the biggest games to ever debut on Xbox Game Pass at launch as part of your monthly subscription.
