Hogwarts Legacy is almost upon us. We are days away from the official launch date of the 10th February! (Or the 7th Feb for those looking at early access!!)
Hype is continuing to increase and we’re here to make sure you’re ready to explore Hogwarts in all it’s magical, mysterious glory.
This post will look at the PC requirements to run the game from low to ultra high while recommending a few Stormforce systems to help you on your way should you be looking to upgrade your setup or getting started in the world of PC gaming. We will also look at the release times for the game itself, just to generate a little bit more excitement, not that it needs it.
The final spec details have been confirmed over on the official Hogwarts: Legacy site.

These specs are what the developers recommend you play on to meet the high system settings. In other words, the previous set of specs will run the game at low quality settings but to get a true experience and optimal gameplay out of Hogwarts: Legacy, you should aim for these specs minimum to play the game how it was intended to be played.
You can see that they recommend a 1080Ti which is by no means a weak GPU. It is getting older but there are certainly people out there who still use this card for high end gaming. This gives you an idea of how demanding this game will be when trying to reach those higher game settings.
For current hardware, we would recommend a 3060Ti. That should help you reach 60fps on high quality settings.

NOTES
SSD, 1440p / 60fps, Ultra Quality Settings
There are gamers out there who want to make the most of their game when playing on higher end monitors. For those at 1440p, Legacy’s Ultra settings suggest you have a minimum 32GB RAM and a 2080Ti, which is quite a powerful card. In current specs, we’re looking at a 3060Ti or even a 3070. We’re starting to get a feel for how big this game is actually going to be. We’ve heard some people joke that it’s like Red Dead Redemption set in the Wizarding World but with these suggestions, it’s looking like it just may be of that scale.

NOTES
SSD, 2160p / 60fps, Ultra Quality Settings
Wingardium Leviosa! – Looks like Legacy has just raised the bar for it’s 4K recommendations. You’re looking at a minimum of a 3090Ti to hit 4K at 60fps while running Ultra Quality Settings, which is quite frankly mind blowing. This game is either going to be pretty demanding or the optimisation upon launch needs some work! We’re hoping it’s just pretty demanding as it has been in development for a while now and had it’s share of delays to polish up the end product. Either way, you want to be looking at something around a 4070Ti to push this game at 4K settings.
If you’re looking to push the game even harder (maybe you want to higher those frames without lowering your settings) then feel free to head over to our Custom PC Page to design your own system.
Dangerous things happen to wizards who meddle with time so don’t go messing with those time turners just yet, there’s only a few days left.
We’re so close, in fact, that the game’s official channels have started to release access times for each region. For PC players, it’s quite simple, you will be entering the world of Hogwarts at 18:00 on the 7th February (for those with early access) or the 10th February (for the global launch).
